Heidis#00Preface

You believe in fantasies? fantasy bubble

Not trying to sound accusatory, like I'm interrogating you under a desk lamp. Do you believe? Do you possess the capacity to believe? Because those are different matters. One concerns the world while the other concerns the machinery inside your skull that counts as a world.

People love to dream. They dream about being rich, successful, admired, aliens or just being happy at all.

However, most people don't pay attention to any of these things and just think about them as small distractions, a mere momentary lapse of reason. Even so… some people daydream like it's second nature.

Tell me this. When was the last time you accomplished something and didn't feel anything over it because you imagined yourself accomplishing it so many times in your fantasies? Scary, isn't it? So how do you land yourself back on earth and face reality? Do you daydream about being a normal, functioning member of society? How do you even go on about your life? How do you cope with your lack of responsibility to the real world? You create something or someone to latch your insecurities onto.

«My unideal self… It's time for judgment.»

They even dream about beating or overcoming this version of themselves.

«Because of this I can't move forward.»
«Because of that I can't do this or that.»
«I can't be happy because of this thing.»
«It's all their fault!»

People lie to themselves. A lot, actually. Some lie so much their lies start to become their reality. Otherwise their entire persona they try to protect would be shattered, and they would have to accept their own incompetents, and that there's no greater evil out to get them. One has to assume blame for their own shortcomings.

These fantasies about wealth, popularity, aliens and happiness are all a farce to keep their grip on something that allows them to keep moving forward with their lives while looking away from their reality.

You can't just stumble onto these fantasies and expect them to become reality.

Even so…

Some people have managed to manifest those fantasies into reality.

Who, you might ask?

Me, of course.
